Water Conservation This Week!
This week will focus on water efficient container gardening with special guest The Growing Connection, a local company that has created amazing self watering planters. They will be selling these CAJA planters and doing demos on how the planters work during the market. Read more about them in our vendor feature of this week’s issue.
Visit the market tent to learn how to make your own self watering planters. Please bring plastic bottles to contribute to this activity and we will be providing the other materials and know how on constructing these! Finally one of our regular urban gardening vendors, Beaches Home Grown will be at the market with many great products including coconut coir; an awesome growing medium with very high water retention capacity.
