One of the easiest ways to support pollinators is to shop at Farmers' Markets. Buying food from farms that are biodynamic, organic and sustainable supports our population of pollinators that are increasingly at risk.
Come to the market this week to learn about pollinator-friendly farming and engage in our fun line-up of activities:
** Bee-Keeper Karen McKenna will join us with her bee observatory, pollination information and her line of amazing line of raw honey soap.
** Sustainable.TO Architecture + Building are coming with their travelling bee-hotel PLUS bring a WASHED 2 litre milk carton and make your own backyard bee hotel!
** Marla Good and team from @Rebellion Gallery and Art Academy's Craft n Kvetch Creative Salon will be teaching how to make your own re-usable beeswax food wrap. A great way to support pollinators by reducing plastic wraps and non BPA free storage containers. Bring a favourite piece of 100% pre-washed and dried organic cotton or use the swatches provided. Pay What You Can - to cover the cost of materials.
**Another round of seed bombs for those who missed it AND because they are super pollinator packed mud-cakes for your garden!
